Savannah – Margarete Adams, 80, passed away Thursday, October 11, 2012. She was born in Nurnberg, Germany. She is survived by her daughter, Linda J. Carter Robert D. Carter of Enterprise, Alabama; two sons, Steven J. Adams Michele Adams of Fleming Island, Florida; Raymond J. Adams, Sr. Shannon Adams of Savannah; grandchildren Michael Carter Natalie Carter of Salem, Alabama; Brian Carter of Enterprise, Alabama; Michelle Adams of Jacksonville, Florida; Christine Washburn Shawn Washburn of Hinesville; Megan Harrod and Raymond Adams, Jr. of Savannah; one great grandchild Zachary Carter of Salem, Alabama; brother Hans Brunnacker Gerdi Brunnacker of Nurnberg, Germany; sisters Else Lindner and Betti Kohl Toni Kohl of Nurnberg, Germany.
She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Adams is preceded in death by her husband Command Sergeant Major Retired George W. Adams, Jr.; her parents Stefan and Marie Brunnacker; brothers Otto Brunnacker; Adolf Brunnacker; Richard Brunnacker; and sister Anneliese Wiessmann.
Visitation: 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Saturday, October 13, 2012 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
Funeral Service: 1:30 p.m., Sunday, October 14, 2012 in the Chapel of Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, conducted by Pastor Peter J. Hartmann.
Burial: Hillcrest Abbey West.
